Why Consider Off Lease or Refurbished Equipment?

Why Consider Off Lease or Refurbished Print Related Equipment?

Does a quality car only have 3 years of life? How old is your car? The average car on the road is over 5 years old. You use a car to get from point A to B. You use a printer, copier and MFD to produce pages with text and graphics.

Why not consider a high quality, certified, low page count off lease machine that saves you thousands of dollars for you?

Do you always need the newest gadget that costs the most and depreciates the fastest?

I’m not talking about the small desktop units. The discussion concerns mid to high range extremely durable machines with years of life left in them. Best of all you can grab one for as much as 73% or more off! The trick is knowing which machine to select. Just like the used car business, some companies take you for a ride!

Consumers are getting smarter. They are tightening their belts and looking at alternatives to expensive new equipment. Quality lease back equipment has solved this issue for many companies.

Off Lease Do’s and Don’ts

First: Know the supplier. Have you done bus page, including repair, parts and supplies? Any complaints filed against them? Check them out!

Second: How old is the equipment? Stick to equipment no more than 3 years old.

Third: Check the page count. Just like a used car you want low mileage (low page count). What is the monthly duty cycle? Do not get a machine with over 2 months of duty cycle. Most companies print less than 19% of the maximum monthly duty cycle.

Forth: Know the brand. Not all models and brands are equal. Some will last many years while others are problematic. Call and ask questions.

Fifth: Do they lease the machines? Rule of thumb - if they offer to lease the machine then usually the equipment is usually in good shape and has years of life left. Think - Why would a copany offer to lease a problem machine. They would not unles they like punishment!

Example of One In-Stock (4/2/2008):
Sharp AR-M455n Digital
Copier/Printer.
Duty Cycle 300,000 per month
Fast 45PPM
Equipment value new: $13,987
Page count: 247K (less than 1 month duty cycle)
3 years old

This machine has years of life left and produces great images. Another example would be a certified pre-owned HP 4200 or 4100 printer with a page count of less than 250K pages produced.

futhermore, used certified refurbished equipment help us keep green, greatly reduce company operating costs and gives you the ability to get a quality machine at a cost of the low end throw away equipment.
